Listing Tips For New eBay Sellers

People can be confused and apprehensive about posting on eBay as a seller even if they have been buying items on eBay for quite some time. Here are some steps to get you ready to sell items on eBay with no hesitation.

First, you have to open an account. This is easy. Just go to eBay website. If you have an email account, it is fine. Otherwise open one. If you have email account and then PayPal account it is almost done.

The next step is what you want to sell. That you should decide. First, you must start by selling your own things. Just pick up some thing around which is useless for you and try to sell it through eBay. You should get a practice.

Click the “Sell” tab on the e-bay website and simply follow the prompts. You will be asked to select a category that fits the item you are selling. Then you will title and describe your item. Use as many descriptive words and interesting facts as you can to describe your item to entice buyers. Use as much of the space available to tell buyers what you have and why they need it.

Next you will want to name your starting price. For your first auction since you are gaining experience, you will want to set the price fairly low between $.01 and $.99 depending on the item you are selling. At this time, you will also want to set the length of time your item will be available. The longer the time, the better for your first auction.

Then, pick the places you can ship your item to. As a beginner, it is a good idea to stick to just your own country. Once everything has been filled out, push the Submit button.

Then wait. Thousands of buyers will see your item. You can wait till the last minute of your specified time. In between there may be so many questions on your title and item. Answer as quickly as possible and it can even be posted so that you avoid answering the same question again.

It may fail. Be prepared for that and do not get frustrated. You can again post and see your luck. Sometimes it is not done in the first attempt.

Have You Tried These New Ways to Make Money Online

July 24th, 2009 by Guest Author
by Michael McGuire

Let’s face it: times are hard right now. Have you been laid off and can’t find another job? Whether you are desperate for cash or just want to supplement, here are some unique methods how to make money online.

There are tons of ways to earn cash online, of course. It’s a huge place, and is basically one big marketplace… but be careful before you start.

There are scams and scammers just waiting out there to prey on people. If something sounds too good to be true or you are asked for money, run the other way as fast as possible.

1. Sell Stuff, Make Money

If you are like most of us, you have probably sold something you didn’t want on Amazon or Ebay. So, you know that you can make cash that way. But selling your attic full of junk isn’t exactly enough to supplement you, is it? What some don’t realize is that you can really make a business out of it.

There are tons of products on there that you can buy dirt cheap. Find a way to get them, but a lot lot, and then find a person in the “real world” who will pay you for the stuff. Instant profit — instant business.

2. Make Money Writing

There are a ton of companies out there who need cheap, simple content for fairly basic purposes. Like reviewing movies, music, games or products? There you go. Find a company that is willing to pay for those reviews, and you’re good to go.

Of course you can market your skills for SEO purposes, blogs, content networks — there are just a ton of ways to make money with short amounts of content.

3. Make Money Gaming

Do you like role-playing games? You may have heard about the extremely popular online RPG called World of Warcraft. If you can put in the time and effort, you can make a little chunk off this and have fun at the same time.

You make money by creating accounts, and giving them skills and gold and coins — you then sell the characters later on for cash. It works. It’s fun. Win-win.

Last Thoughts

Sometimes, we all need some extra cash. Or maybe you just want to work at home. These are some of the more unique methods how to make money online, but they do work best as supplemental to another job.

The Build A Niche Store Software Does Work

Build A Niche Store is a web based application that was built to help you sell stuff using eBay. Who cares…! I hear you yell.. but the main unique point is that the items you are selling do not belong to you and eBay will PAY you for helping sell these products for them.

The Build A Niche Store web application helps you to quickly and easily make a web storefront that uses items from eBay from any product range or category you can sell online. Want to design a website selling tractors? No worries… BANS lets you build that.

You simply copy the software to your web site, run the install script and then pick an eBay category number to base your e-commerce store on. Build A Niche Store then does all the rest of the work for work for you. It will create a catalog of pages in the niche, shows the ebay items with pictures and then lets you fine-tune the auctions that are on sale as you see best.

When a customer comes to your website through a web search engine like MSN, they go through your site and then land on eBay to get the auction. The best part of this scenario is that the process of them going to the eBay site stores a record on their computer that tells eBay that you sent them. Also, When they buy anything off eBay for up to 7 days from that 1st click through, you might get up to thirty percent of eBay’s own earnings from that sale in your pocket! If the shopper is not an eBay customer, if they sign up within the following thirty one days and then buy anything, you can get up to $25 signup fee! Does it sound good? Read on.

The Build A Niche Store software allows you to quickly build a website that is indexed by the search engines and is quickly ranked in the SERPS results. Add to that the ability to simply add videos, articles and content to your site as well as add extra affiliate share deals such as Commission Junction, you have a site to challenge the big hitters.

Now, let me tell you - this is quick and easy to set up - but you will need to get registered with the eBay partner network program to get it working. Historically, the EPN have been a little hard to get accepted by and they constantly review their affiliate websites, so no naughty business please! My best tips for getting into into the eBay partner network are to set up a BANS website and then include at the least quite a few paragraphs of UNIQUE information to each page before you apply. Don’t plagiarize the words from some where else - they are clever people! Write it yourself or pay someone to do it for you. When you choose to sell vintage clothing through the store and you haven’t got a clue about them - you will find it easier to get some one else to create it up for you.

In a sentence, the BANS application is excellent. It really DOES earn you extra cash with a little extra effort and it WILL guarantee you a residual income at the least. Don’t forget something important, once you have 1 niche site built, go make another one and double your money! It’s simple.
