What is Drop Shipping? Drop shipping is a method to add profits to your eBay selling account. Many people are taking up selling on EBay as a means of alternative income. Over the years, Internet has developed into a medium of e-commerce and slowly it is being filled with virtual supermarkets. Today everyone wants a piece of the pie, which is the Internet.

Everyone wants to make quick money and get rich overnight. Sounds like right out of a fairy tale. Selling online has become one of the easiest ways to earn money at home.

Websites like eBay, Yahoo Shopping and many others allow individuals to conduct online auctions and buy and sell products online.

Majority of sellers on eBay comprise of homemakers, college going teenagers, and even people who work fulltime but sell their products during their spare time. All this effort is for getting rich overnight!

Selling on EBay is getting more popular because the costs involved for setting up your store on EBay are almost negligible.

The initial setup cost for a basic auction is a nominal as 25 cents and includes description and one picture. However, eBay charges a percentage of the final bid price. That is very less for the seller and the seller can charge buyer for this by including it in the shipping and handling fee.

With increasing access to Internet and millions of people visiting eBay everyday, this has become the cheapest way to sell goods online and make a healthy profit.

Drop Shipping will allow you to sell products without the hassles. Since sometime, the term ‘Drop shipping’ has become a popular method for selling products on eBay.

This method allows the seller on eBay to sell products without the need to have an inventory or the necessity to ship the goods. Many companies also allow the user to purchase their goods and then have them blind drop ship the product to the winning bidder.

The company uses the eBay seller’s name or company details as the return address to make it appear that the item actually came from them and not the true goods supplier.

The true supplier will however, handle the packaging, the shipping, and any return of items.

Drop shipping has gained popularity because in this method of selling on EBay and other auctions, you do not have to pay for the product upfront until the auction has closed and the buyer has paid.

One the buyer makes the payment, the order is sent to the drop shipper and they would complete the procedure including sending the tracking number for the shipment, which is then forwarded to the buyer.

This method ensures that you earn money and the risks are minimized for the eBay seller. If you want to find drop shipping vendors this Drop Shipping Companies Site is the best place to find legitimate, pre-screened wholesalers, dropshippers, liquidators and manufacturers for every type of product imaginable

Turn Your PC Into An ATM

It is very possible to turn your computer into a cash money making mashine. A lot of people think this is a crazy claim, but there are literally millions of folks out there making a living online behind their computer never leaving the house. I have even hired some of these people to do work for me. You just need to know where to find people that are providing legit online jobs.

The most popular way is to just sell stuff and work for yourself. It is possible to list your merchandise on Ebay and make money. I had a co-worker one time who as a hobby made thousands of dollars a day by simply visiting garage sales and purchasing items he could resell. Though he was a former antique dealer, if you know your stuff about any type of merchandise you can do the same thing.

I want to warn some of the people out there who are looking for the software that you turn on and it makes money to steer clear. There is nothing that you can just turn on and you will have a bunch of money. Take me for instance. I run websites that are various ways to make money selling products. You would think that I could just set them up and let them make money, that is not correct I have to do a lot of work still.

Sites like elance or getafreelancer have message boards where people looking to have work done can post the job. Basically you go onto these sites and browse the jobs available and bid on the jobs. If you win the bid then the poster will pay you when you complete the job. If you have good computer skills or writing skills it is pretty easy to find something you can do for money on there.

The very best opportunity that you will find is to find a site who matches employees with people who are looking to hire people working from home. The program Legit Online Jobs does this. They keep a very up to date database of employers who are looking to hire people working at home to do jobs for them. You can find jobs in sales, transcription or even data entry.

Getting Affordable Web Hosting Is Easy

September 18th, 2009 by Brian Armstrong

Affordable web hosting is not only defined by the monetary cost, but also by the opportunity cost and the time you’ll spend getting a web hosting company that doesn’t do what you need. You’ll see at the end of this article who I use and here are a few of the things I evaluate when considering a web hosting company to go with.

Web hosting companies usually give you more than enough space to do what you need to. Unless you are trying to duplicate Youtube, you won’t have any problems with the amount of space required. Several web hosting companies now even offer “unlimited” space on the server. Although this is theoretically impossible, web hosting companies are all looking to beat their competition and this is one of the ways that they do this.

Another component that may influence your decision on what web hosting company to go with is the amount of bandwidth that they will allocate for you. If you stream a lot of video or people are downloading large files from your web server, this may be a problem. However, if you consider that most web hosts give you several terabytes of bandwidth, this shouldn’t be an issue.

One of the things I look for with an affordable web hosting company is how their technical support is and where their technical support is located. I prefer a company whose employees speak the same language as I do without accents I have difficulty understanding. Technical competency is important as well, but with the relative simplicity of web servers and these accounts today, this isn’t a very big deal either.

The control panel that you’ll use to manage your account should be web based so you can access it from anywhere. The most common control panel that I’ve seen recently is called cpanel. This allows you to configure all of your email addresses, directories, domain names, software, ftp access, etc. Basically anything you’d need to do on the web hosting account you’ll be able to do from a central location, your cpanel.

Affordable web hosting companies should also provide you with a free domain name which will most likely use as the main account name. If you’re like me and plan on hosting multiple domain names and projects on the same server, you should still take advantage of a free domain name because hey, free domain name.

Installing web based software is not necessarily difficult, but there are enough things that require manual intervention that having a good software installer built into the web host is very convenient and makes the process of installing software easy. These software installation scripts are usually accessible through the cpanel. You can usually install any number of software packages including blogs, content management systems, ecommerce storefronts, bulletin board systems or forums, and even things like an email autoresponder system. Your website doesn’t have to have only one of these, you can install these into their own directories as well and interlink them from your main navigation bar.

Getting setup with affordable web hosting has never been easier. This is a project that you can undertake quickly and easily. One recommendation I have is to not overanalyze these web hosting companies too much. I’d visit some web hosting forums and see what real people recommend.

How To Get Affordable Web Hosting

September 17th, 2009 by Brian Armstrong

Getting started with your own website isn’t a step to be taken lightly. But it isn’t so important a decision that you can’t take it back or switch to a new company at any point in time. There are a few things about any web hosting company that you can use to compare one against another.

Most hosting companies offer most space than you could probably ever use unless you’re hosting some serious video content. Several web hosting companies now offer “unlimited” space. Obviously trying to test the upper limits of this supposed “unlimited” disk space would require some serious uploading and bandwidth. Not enough disk space will most likely be the least of your worries, even if you are hosting extensive video content.

Bandwidth is another component of web hosting that will only be a problem if you get a huge influx of traffic all at once. You’ll probably run out of server processes before you run out of bandwidth. For instance, if one of your “diggs” goes to the front page of digg.com, there is definitely a likelihood that your $10 per month or less web host won’t have the server processes allocated to handle that much traffic which means your site may crash. Don’t fret because this is a great problem to have.

Most web hosting companies now have a control panel of some sort. This is the place you’ll login to in order to manage your account. This will include your email addresses, software installations, ftp or file management, etc. There’s a product called cPanel that is usually what gets installed in most web hosts.

Most web hosting companies include a free domain name. If you’re hosting several different projects, make sure you register your primary domain as the one that you want to be your login. You can also transfer a domain that you already own. I usually recommend getting a free domain with the process instead of just using an existing domain, but that’s up to you.

Affordable web hosting companies should offer through the cpanel several software options for installing software on the websites you plan on hosting. For instance, some of these software options include a blog, content management system, ecommerce shopping cart, web-based email access, forum or bulletin board system, and a few other options for what type of website you’d like to have. Keep in mind that you aren’t limited with what you can install. For instance, your website may have not only a blog, but also the ability of that blog to redirect visitors to the main online store (ecommerce). You could also implement or integrate a forum into the same websites.

Don’t think too much about web hosting. It is important, but the more you spend time analyzing the many facets of web hosting, the further away you’ll get from your project. Plan on spending about $5 to $10 per month and making sure you have all of your minimum requirements met along with a free domain. Read reviews as well, but be aware that the author may be basing his claim solely on which web hosting company is paying him the most money for promotion. Good luck with your search.
