eBay Question: What is The Best Way To Ship Items

September 20th, 2007 by admin

Q: Tanner,

What is the best company to use for shipping: UPS, Fed Ex or the post office? and which one do you use?

Thanks,
Lisa

A: As far as which of the above shippers is the best, I would say that depends on what you are mailing. If its small and relativly light, I would go with the post office. But if its large, bulky or heavy, I would use UPS or Fed Ex.

It also depends on where you are mailing it to. If you are shipping to an APO or FPO I would suggest the Post office as Fed Ex and UPS do not deliver to them. Also UPS will not deliver to a P.O. BOX

All three of the shippers will come to your house or office to pick up packages. The post office charges $15.00 per visit, UPS charges 16.00 a week, and Fed Ex charges $14.00 a week. UPS will also let you lease a great lable printer for $2.00 a week.

==>Tanner Tip: If you ship priority mail, you can get free boxes and shipping supplies at the USPS website.
