eBay Question: What to Do With Non Paying Bidders
Guest Author Q: I sold an item two weeks ago and I have still not recieved
payment. I have sent an invoice as well as a payment reminder, but I have recieved no response. I state in my listing that Payment must be recieved within five days. What can I do? I don’t want to leave negative feedback if I don’t have to.

A: Unfortunatly this happens much more often than it should and you options are rather limited in how you can deal with the situation.
After you have sent the payment reminder, that is the last of the official methods of contact with the buyer. But what you can do, is get their email address off of their invoice and send them another message without going through ebay.
Send them a polite final payment notice with the item number, item description, payment options and mailing address. Also give them a deadline and tell them what you will do if you have not recieved payment by the deadline. Do NOT get hostile, be Proffessional.
If they do not meet your deadline then you have no choice, but to leave negative feeback and file a non paying bidder report.
Slightly off topic, I reccomend giving longer than five days to recieve payment. I would say give them at least 7 business days, in case they mail you a check. The post office can be very slow sometimes.
