Benefits Of A Motorcycle Auto Auction

July 13th, 2010 by David Shaw

A person who is looking for a new or used motorcycle may be able to find just what they need through a motorcycle auto auction. A motorcycle auto auction is a great place to head if you find yourself in this situation. On bikes for which there are very few bidders, you could even get a bike worth several thousand for just a few hundred, depending on what the highest bid is. Just make sure that for the most part you stick to a few respectable companies that you can trust.

Salvage Bikes Auction is a perfect example. They are an auction that’s limited to licensed auto dealers and dismantlers so you know that you will never get taken advantage of. This means you can trust in knowing the bikes are all quality and that you’re getting exactly what you’re being told. The process is simple through the Salvage Bikes Auction Company.

You choose the bike you’re interested in and then if you end up with the highest offer you’ll receive an invoice requesting the payment of a security deposit. Once you have decided you place your bid and if it turns out you have the highest, you win the bike. There is a security deposit required which is 10% of the offer and then the balance will be due plus a $50 handling fee. All fees are non-refundable just as with most auto auctions, so make sure that you’re getting a good deal and are sure that you want a particular motorcycle before going through and bidding on it.

Another motorcycle auto auction you can feel safe going through is Biker Bids. They offer some of the best bikes including Indians and Harley Davidsons. They start new live auctions almost every week so you can keep checking back until you find something you like. You can at least use the website to gain more information on what different bikes they have available at any given time to save yourself time when you get to the auction in person.

Although most people find something at their first motorcycle auto auction it can take some time. There’s no point in paying more for anything than you have to, especially when it comes to something like a motorcycle which is an expensive purchase. As long as you shop carefully and stick to respectable auction companies such as those listed here, you should be able to get a great deal. There’s no point in paying more for a bike than you have to, especially since it’s already a large enough investment.

Why Not Buy Impounded Cars For Sale And Make Big Savings

July 13th, 2010 by Ava Berry

Government car auctions, where they put up impounded cars for sale to the public, have been around for many years. Even these days, I find that not many people know about these auctions. They really don’t seem to be well advertised. This means that people also don’t know about the kind of savings that can be made at this type of car sale. There is a broad range of reasons why cars and other vehicles are impounded. You will normally find the original owner has broken the law in some way. Seized cars are not taken because of any fault with the vehicle - it is usually the owner that is the problem! The vehicles are only auctioned off when all legal issues are completely dealt with. So, why are these cars sold at auction and how can you get the car you want at a significant saving?

While we can go into the details of many reasons here, there are only two that are really relevant. These are as follows:

1) The government does not want to incur the costs of storing the vehicles 2) Sale at auction is the quickest way for the government to recoup monies, such as unpaid taxes, that it is owed.

As with all auctions, impounded cars are sold to the highest bidder on the day. This means that you can make incredible savings when purchasing your car in this way. If you are prepared for the auction and you know where to find the best auctions to attend, you could secure the car you are looking for at the right price. With bids starting as low as $100, there is no reason why you cannot get what you are looking for even if your budget is tight. Members of the public are welcome to attend federal auto auctions, although many do not know that they have that right. A lot of car dealerships depend on these auctions to buy low cost stock. They then add an often large mark up and sell them on. If you buy a car at a car lot, you could well be buying an impounded car, which has a much higher price tag than the auction price. The only thing you need to do is find out where the auctions are on, make sure you get a list of the cars that will be available, make a shortlist of the ones you are interested and of course, only bid what you can afford to spend.

Finding out where you can find impounded cars for sale is usually the most difficult part of this process. There is no doubt that the greater the number of auctions that you know about, the greater the likelihood that you will exactly what you are looking for at the best possible price. I advise you to look at online services that can give you the inside track on these auctions. You can be sure your local car dealer does not want you to know about them!
